The Dezzies were handed out to honor our members for their achievements and foibles, and the “Helping Hand” Award was renamed after perennial winner, Jack D. Unfortunately, the “Crash Test Dummy” award was also re-christened after Graham W. It is our habit to honor triple winners by renaming the awards—if we were bowling you could think of it as a turkey.

    It should be no surprise to any member that Paul H. creamed the competition, sending his Blackberry into a tizzy and earning the Posts the Most award. We also had a huge number of dual winners – Gary G took home a pair, as did Jack D., Michelle M., and Terry C.

    Kent & Roger created a “pop quiz” on all things Ducati and DESMO. Sandro took home the gold for the third year in a row, besting Gary in a chug-off.

    And we unveiled our 10th Anniversary logo, designed by our very own Paul M. To thank Paul for his efforts, he was presented with a banner featuring his design, and he will be entitled to participate each of our 2010 events (trackday, BBQ, Holiday Party) as our guest.

    As usual, the raffle was a big hit. DESMO’s sponsors stepped up to the plate this year, with lots of great prizes. Everyone walked home with something—fortunately there were a lot of gift certificates to lighten the load. Our trackday organizer, Absolute Cycle, hit one out of the park and donated a season pass. Winner Tony R. was beside himself.

    DESMO handed out custom lanyards to all…so we’ll never lose our keys again! We’re selling these on our Shop page, too, so stock up if you missed out. Believe it or not, these are also good for house keys, gym locker keys, and pretty much anything else you can think of.

    Truly a great evening. Great food, company, swag and BEER..... what could be better? Well planned and managed, damn great raffles, great humor all 'round, just a fine way to spend the evening! It was great to see the DESMO gang and catch up on some interesting happenings!
